ISAIAH LOVES ENERGY

When Elijah was in first grade, his friend was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes actually his friend who I will call "P" was diagnosed just a month or two before Hubs.  Anywho......our two families have grown to love each other but when your boys' are on the same teams for two sports plus are in the same class at school you spend soooooo much time together and we just can't help it.  We are pretty lovable!  Why do I go off on things that have nothing to do with the current topic?

So......Mindy has to carry P's glucometer, snacks, juices and energy.  Yep you read that correctly she carries his energy in a bottle.  Actually they are glucose tablets but she affectionately named them "energy".  She hands energy out to the other kids when asked since basically they taste just like sugar.  Isaiah loves energy.  And as though he doesn't have enough of it, Mindy gives it to him at practices.

The other day Isaiah comes in my room.  He plops up on my bed and starts kissing me.
He says, "oh thank you Mommy for buying energy like Mindy!"

I was a little lost until I saw the bottle of TUMS sitting on my dresser.  Tums......glucose tabs......well they look a little alike except the size, overall purpose and well taste but who cares he totally appreciated the gesture even if it wasn't really true!  I guess I will hide the TUMS now although I am sure after eating one he will realize it is not energy!

WELCOME TO YOUR CRAZY FAMILY, PAISLEY ROSE!

I mentioned awhile back that my cousin Kris is now a father. The baby was nameless for a bit and just remained nicknamed baby Nug until they decided to name her Paisley Rose. She is so cute. She looks just like her daddy....poor thing!! just kidding! Anyway I promised pictures and here they are.......

I think he may like her!!!

A hat to cover the hat head from many hours in labor or should I say waiting!

So alert!

This is when she said my name! How sweet!

Isaiah loves babies and was very excited plus he doesn't like me taking pics of everyone but him!

Proud Pops!
This is my Uncle Russell and his newest granddaughter.

My cousin Cassie (Kris' sister) and Starr with the baby

Time to get cleaned up and she was not happy but her cry was so so so tiny and cute! I told her she would definitely need to work on a louder cry so she'll wake Mommy and Daddy. Aren't I helpful!!

It came time to wash her hair and like any girl getting her hair washed she instantly calmed right down!

Awwww isn't she cute!!

Then Brandon brought up his and Cassie's daughter Reagan soooo I had to take pics of her too!!

WORDFUL WEDNESDAY

I trying to find some good....well actually I was trying to find some bad funny pics of friends that I could scan....yep that's how I roll....when I came upon these pics of Elijah! He was by far the cutest baby boy I've ever seen! My Grandmother got him this giant bear to take his photo with every month to see how much he would grown each month on his birth day! Fun project and interesting but it go harder to do the older he got! Anyhow I found them, I fell in love all over again even after 7 years and here they are:

One Month ~ so tiny, sweet, calm, peaceful and cute as can be!

Four months ~ all smiles and still cute as can be and although his Daddy thought this outfit was girly it was a boy outfit ~ closest to a girl outfit I'll ever get!

Six months ~ so so happy, loved his thigh rolls! I love this picture because it captured his mini mohawk! He was born with a full head of thick hair but the sides and back just stopped growing. His hair was still thick and grew like crazy.....only on the top!! This was right after his first haircut in hopes that if we cut the top maybe just maybe the sides could catch up!!

Ten months ~ my little brown baby boy is so handsome and I just love his eyes in this picture!

OH THE MEMORIES!
NOW he is SEVEN and even though the baby/bear pics stopped six years ago he is still the cutest baby boy I've ever seen!
Not biased at all I tell you!

SHE'S JUST TOO CUTE FOR WORDS

Addy was smiling and laughing in her sleep so I got the camera to try to catch it but then she woke up......wide awake just watching me.....she's just too cute for words! She reminds me SO SO much of Elijah when he was a baby. He too smiled and laughed in his sleep within a couple of weeks and since no one believed me I had to take pictures of it. Those pictures are still some of my favorite of him as a baby. They both also roll their eyes all around and then sleep with their eyes OPEN....that used to really freak my sister out b/c she would think he was awake!! Here she is again, Miss Addison

HOME SWEET HOME!

I'm in love!!

Sunday Avani and Addy got to go home. After the bball combine, I went to pick up her prescriptions then to her house to watch the girls so she could rest. I tried not to hold her too much but she is irrestible!!

PERFECTION!

Aiden came home excited to meet his baby sister

Kisses!

Oh my goodness I just realized I erased my favorite picture. After we fed her and changed her into pjs, she was still hungry and found her thumb. It was so cute ~ wide awake, looking at the camera and sucking her thumb! UGH!

BOYS MEET GIRL

Getting in the car to go meet Addison, Elijah asks if he will get to hold her and when told "YES!" he replied with a very enthusiastic, "Awesome!" You would think they had a new sister to bring home!! Elijah held her first and he was all grins ~ seriously, ear to ear!! It was cute b/c she was wide awake and just looking ALL around at her new world. Isn't it amazing how newborn babies make everyone all a flutter! When asked what he was thought of the baby, Elijah responded with "I want one too!" This answer was clearly noted with, "Good luck with that!"

Isaiah was next and it was going to be his first time to ever hold a baby. Wow his excitement was unreal! He said, "I think she likes me Mommy! Let's go to the store and buy one to take home!" Again this was noted and answered with, "I only wish it was that easy to get Mommy a little girl!" He then said, "You've got to be tidding (kidding) me!"

It was sooo cute to see them this excited about Addison!! Poor "Saytra" got no love tonight since Addison stole the spotlight!! Well we left with Zay flipping out b/c he had to leave the baby there in hopes of finding Zay a Halloween costume. I should have bought it a month ago when I found it but alas I didn't and it is gone now. Kicking myself while typing! We were off to search the town for a "batmanelmothomasfwankensteintransformer" costume for my boy! Hey that is what he wants to be, don't ask me!!

ADDISON IS HERE!!!

5am came pretty darn fast this morning but well worth it. My very close friend Chaitra had her 2nd daughter today. Addison Jewel came into this big bright world at 7:44am weighing in at 7lbs 4oz and 20in long!! A beautiful FAIR complected, raven haired (she is a couple of weeks early and pretty hairy - check out her forehead - lol - don't worry baby it will fall out!) knockout greeted the world with grace and a calm that only a baby knows! I am in love with her as I am with any baby I meet and the "urge" welled up inside!! (I swear if humans had the same 16 days gestation period as a hamster I would definitely have a dozen well maybe a couple more unless they were the size of hamsters! lol) UNTIL I saw Chaitra that is! She came out of the c-section that I tried oh so hard to talk her out of as itchy, dizzy and nauseous as can be. Addy had LOTS of fluid on her lungs and they were sticking tubes up her nose and down her throat trying to suck it out. They gave her oxygen then let her be hoping she could work it out on her own. They then suctioned her again and said if the fluid was not gone within 6 hours she would need to be transferred to another hospital. I really didn't want to tell this to Chaitra but she knew something was wrong b/c they would not bring her to the room and she really wanted to see her. This news was troubling at best knowing she wouldn't be able to transfer with Addy so we prayed, hoped and watched her new little angel like only Mother's can. Then they decided to give her a bath hoping it would upset the sleeping wonder enough to really cry and clear her lungs. No luck there.....she was calm as can be! Finally they said her lungs were getting better but her breathing was too labored and fast so they could not take her out of the nursery til her breathes per minute dropped to 60. That took awhile then they couldn't keep her temp up so they baked her for quite awhile until she was good and toasty. I feared a baby that fair complected would burn! lol During all of the action, baking and sleeping the nurses allowed each of us to go in two by two since Addison was the only baby in the nursery to touch, talk and take pics of her. JUST SO HAPPENS I had my camera so I took a few million pics!! Imagine that huh! Four and a half hours later they brought the bundle to the room. Chaitra held her for about 2 minutes then said someone take her NOW then puked and puked then yep she puked some more. Oh the joys of motherhood! I think she was wishing she had listened to my NO c-section rants!! I left to get FOOD since my belly was growling, picked up Zay, went to the football office, signed up for bball where I was talked into coaching with my hubby, met another football Mom to order the Coaches' gifts then I came home to try to catch some zzzz's before taking the boys to see Baby Addy and "Saytra" as Zay says her name. Operative word here being TRY!! I have such a pounding headache that I hoped was caused by waiting too long to eat but after eating I think maybe I am overtired. Let you all know when I decide!! Until then here is Addison in her blogger debut:

Sick I know, but I think babies are so cute when they cry!! I do have one exception ~ Isaiah wasn't so cute since he had colic and he cried ALL the time...NOT so cute at the time! I think this is the only time she cried all day.

This is how she slept while basking under the warmer!

I took this one with my camera phone so it looks kind of funky; however, this is one of my favorite pictures of the day. How cute is that?!! Lorraine and I were trying to wake her up so she would cry and clear out her lungs to go see Mommy but she did not budge except for this booboo lip...I am so in love with this girl!

I HATE feet but I LOVE LOVE LOVE baby feet!! Perfection!

I don't know who was more anxious to hold Addy....her mom.....

OR her big sister, Avani!!

SLEEPING CUTIES

A little behind on my blog but today I am going to catch up!! First of all I just went into the living room after cleaning the bathroom. I've resorted to cleaning today b/c all weekend my TV has been taken over by.....

Anyway our relaxing "no football" weekend has turned into a college and NFL football fest for my hubby and I couldn't take anymore so I cleaned (a little)! Wondering why the house was so quiet I ventured into the living room to find this:

I still just can't resist this pic each and every time I get the chance!

How cute are my three loves?!?!?

"WE'RE WATCHING A MOVIE MOM!"

Tonight Martez watched a movie with Elijah and Isaiah while I was cleaning. Anytime I would ask for help I would get, "WE'RE WATCHING A MOVIE WITH DADDY, MOM!" Irritating at the moment but cute because they were so excited Daddy was in THEIR bed watching a movie with them that I didn't care. Then I kept saying it was time to go to bed and would again get "WE'RE WATCHING A MOVIE WITH DADDY, MOM!". Again annoyed but I didn't mind! When I finally really needed Martez and no one was answering me I went in to see them all sprawled across Elijah's bed sound asleep with Samson snoring in tune with Martez! How cute are they! I rushed to get the camera, took several pictures, covered them up, turned the TV off and shut the door behind me so my three loves could sleep!

MY 5YR OLD HIGH SCHOOL BOY

My baby started school today. I cannot believe he is old enough for school. It seems like I just had him! Today was his first day of kindergarten. I am in shock he is old enough but I didn't cry. I thought I would not because I don't think he is ready or I'll miss him but simple because he is starting a whole new adventurous chapter in life - school!! Maybe the crying is more for stay at home moms - tears of joy for more free time and tears of sadness for not knowing what to do without their child in tow! Me - I am used to not seeing him all day since I am at work all day. I think my mom is more upset than I am especially since Martez will get off earlier now and will be picking both the boys up from school. I have been very blessed to have my mom watch the boys when they got out of Wee Ministries at two everyday which I might mention is an amazing learning program for children and my boys have both been there forever! My mom is upset and insisting to pick them up a couple of days a week because Martez "must" have something to do! She said I need to wean her off slowly. My mom and the boys are obsessed with each other but I am sooooooo glad they have the relationship they do. She has kept Elijah since he was six months and had Isaiah since he was 6 weeks. They both went to Wee but she had them when they got out and all day on Monday so they are all addicted to one another. I told her no in hopes that she will keep them more often on the weekends so me and Martez can go out on dates since I wouldn't let her watch them on the weekends before because she had them all week!! Yippee maybe we will actually be able to go out more often!! I call Elijah's new school "big kid" school or kindergarten but he is jumping years ahead and calling it high school. I am more panicked about his teacher that seems to have no tact or personality or maybe that is just towards me or maybe just adults. Hopefully she isn't that way for the children or this could be a long year. The thing that scares me the most is letting him walk into the school then to class alone. Ahhhhh! How would I know he actually made it to the classroom? Would they call asking where he is? For this week I will be walking him to class for my own peace of mind then next week I will also be taking my friend's little girl every morning so maybe I won't be as anxious if they walk in together since they are both in kindergarten across the hall from each other. What are the odds of them losing each other and getting lost somewhere in the building? Hopefully small! Check out the new slideshow it is his first day of school pics with the outfit he picked out and he did a pretty fine job if I say so myself. I have taught him well. If I could only get Martez to match his clothes that well! lol Elijah even wanted to do a photo shoot with his own modeling poses. It was so funny! God I love this boy he is so handsome and he cracks me up!!!
