ZAY LOST HIS FIRST TOOTH!

I seriously can't believe how fast Isaiah is growing.  Started kindergarten.....sniff sniff.........started sports.......whimper........lost his first tooth......wipes tear rolling down cheek!  I swear he is aging at lightning speed while I have managed to stay 29 for going on 6 years.  What gives!

Isaiah first loose tooth seemed loose for forever.  Loose teeth make me gag and pulling them can make me gag to the point of vomiting.  That is just so gross!  This tooth was really really loose and bending forward...gag....gag.....I mean literally hanging by a thread of whatever teeth hang by....gag!  He came to show me one evening and well truthfully I gagged then told him to show Daddy.  He went to show Daddy and well panicked.  Daddy's hand came up as though he might pull the tooth.  Hubs reassured him he just wanted to feel it and he did.  Isaiah went screaming down the hall, "DON'T TOUCH IT!  I DON'T WANT YOU TO PULL IT!"  He went running into the bathroom and while he was gone Hubs just smiled at me from the couch holding the tooth between his two fingers.

Isaiah comes storming back into the living room saying, "Hey Daddy, did you pull my tooth because I think I really lost it and I can't find it?!?"  He was shocked as was I that it did not hurt when Hubs pulled it and he did not cry!  Serious milestone since the kid cries over EVERY. SINGLE. LITTLE. TINY. MINUTE. THING!  UGH!  Love the boy but seriously he is a cry baby such a joy! Hubs was just shocked he got it on the first try and without any tears, blood or serious Toys R Us bribing like he did when Elijah lost his first tooth.  Then we get to the part where he calls everyone in the family to alert them of his lost tooth and the whole story mainly to stall the whole bedtime routine.  Bedtime routines will probably be the death of me if the morning routine doesn't kill me first! Oh the joys of motherhood!  Papa alerted Zay to the fact that Elijah got $10 from the toothfairy when he lost his first tooth so of course I had to roundup $10.....thankyouverymuchDad!

So after putting him to bed about five times I finally told him, "You better get to bed or the toothfairy can't come."

He replied with, "Leave the light on!  Daddy will you lay with me?"

I questioned his reason for wanting the light on and wanting Daddy to lay with him and he answered with,
"I don't want some strange person coming into my room, reaching under my pillow and stealing my tooth!  That is scary!"

THE ART OF QUICK THINKING

Elijah lost a tooth at school and they sent it home in a little box so he could leave it under his pillow for the tooth fairy. How lucky am I ~ I hate the whole losing teeth thing but Elijah has lost like 3 or 4 teeth at school AWAY from me!! Well he remembered to put the tooth under the pillow except the stupid tooth fairy forgot to make a visit. STUPID FORGETFUL TOOTH FAIRY!! So Martez goes to wake Elijah up while I am in the closet getting clothes out when I hear Elijah crying and Martez trying to get out of him what is wrong. I look and only hear the word "tooth" when I RUN into the living room and grab money out of my purse then crawl into Elijah's room trying to NOT let him SEE me!! It's a good thing I am so small! Hehe! I ask him if he looked under the bed saying maybe it had fallen. When he cries out NO like it's the end of the world, I quickly throw the money under the bed towards his headboard then dive down to act like I am looking. Low and behold the money had "fallen" (right where I needed it to) and although he was glad he got money he continued to cry. Again we try to understand the half asleep rambling when he finally gets mad and sits up saying, "the tooth fairy didn't take my tooth!" My next quick response was, "well either she couldn't get it because you almost woke up or you may have knocked her out with all that CRAZY moving you do in your sleep so we'll just mail it to her. Give it to ME!" I thought everything was fine until I realized they were not getting dressed. They were looking with binoculars to make sure they hadn't smashed her into the mattress or she wasn't laying on the floor before they got up and stepped on her. The next questions from Elijah were: "How big is the tooth fairy? Is she big enough to see? Give me an example of a bug her size!! How do you know her address? Her job could be kind of dangerous so why doesn't she just mail kids their money?" He never stops thinking!!

THE WEALTHY TOOTH FAIRY

Well Elijah lost his first tooth yesterday! Actually he didn't lose it, Martez pulled it. It was so funny! He realized it was loose on our trip to Iowa and refused to eat for awhile unless it was noodles. Eventually he got over that and it was really loose and Martez really wanted to pull it but he would barely let us touch it. Yesterday he decided or I should say "bargained" with daddy to let him pull it. If he let daddy pull it, then he had to take him to Toys 'r Us and buy him a toy and of course Martez was all for that. But when it came right down to it he was scared and I was watching grossed out. Loose teeth and pulling loose teeth totally disgusts me! Everytime Martez would get ready to pull it Elijah would shut his mouth and bargain or ask how bad it would hurt. Martez would pinch him a little and say this is how it will feel and that didn't hurt, right. They went back and forth like a hundred times and I still stood there with the camera gagging everytime I would even think about it. Eventually Martez said he was going to "shine" it aka dry it off since it was too slippery and just yanked it out! Elijah started to cry then saw the blood and went into a complete screaming frenzy! He hates blood! Martez said see that didn't hurt show me how it felt. Then Elijah proceeded to hit and pinch the crap out of his daddy to show him how it felt! Too funny! Now I bet Martez will never get to pull another one! I can't believe my baby boy is losing teeth and going to start kindergarten this fall!!! Time flies!! Well then it was time for the tooth fairy and I asked Martez for a dollar and he said I have a twenty! What kind of tooth fairy gives twenty dollar bills?!?!?!?!? Hello! Then he said well I have a ten so I went with it in hopes that Elijah would just see "one" dollar bill not realizing it was worth ten dollars!! It worked! That is until my entire family told him the truth about my plan and switching it with a one dollar bill!!! They did this because my mom and I made tooth pillows for the youngest grandbabies to match their rooms and I wrote "Nothing less than $10 accepted!" with a paint pen on each pillow. My nephew Nehemiah decided that he was "either getting jipped or the toothfairy can't read"! Isn't that hilarious!! Needless to say he got his toy and now he'll be lucky to get a quarter. I guess all the tricks I played on my nieces and nephews will come back to me "ten" fold!!
