NOT LOVING WALLY WORLD LAYOUT IDIOT AND MORE

Before I start complaining, I am going to start off with some positives.  I am off tomorrow for Good Friday and can't wait for the weekend.  It feels nice outside right now but it is supposed to rain for the next five days.  Although I am not excited about the rain potentially ruining all of our weekend plans, I am very excited for family fun.

Now onto my Wally World rant...warning this is long.....

Last night I had to get groceries.  I hate getting groceries but alas I guess I must actually feed the children something besides chicken nuggets and fries once and awhile.  First I went to Aldi.  Oh how I love Aldi.  Simple!  Easy!  Cheap! Nothing bad to say there but then I went to Wally World and that is a different story.

First of all, I have been letting my eyebrows grow in a little to get them threaded.  I hate plucking stray hairs daily because I am obsessed and haven't had them waxed for sometime.  The impatience and ugliness was weighing heavily on me and I lost my mind.  I walked in WW (Wally World), saw a salon and thought I am just going to get them waxed again totally forgoing my plan of threading out of fear and impatience.

Why I thought this was a good idea I am not sure but it will be a post in itself soon to come.......just know it wasn't my most brilliant idea!

Secondly, just know right now I hate the new WW layouts.  HATE. ABHOR. HATE.  I can't find anything.  I understand the remodel idea but they royally screwed up.  It makes absolutely no sense at all and I am used to knowing exactly what aisle everything I need is on.  Seriously, who picked this layout anyway.  They should be fired.  Why would you stick the chips, cookies aka snack foods over by the dog food away from the other food?  Why not put the paper goods, laundry or cleaners over there instead of the middle of the food section?  NO SENSE I TELL YOU!  Did I mention I HATE it?

So I spent  a rather long time searching for a drink shaker.  Up and down the housewares section many times.  We are not really drinkers but common sense would place shakers here, correct?  No!  I need another shaker for this shake I have been drinking.  Eventually I found one that was stainless steel and $15 dollars.  Seriously, no cheap plastic shakers?!  I did find these drink holders I have been needing for the boys' lunch pails for only 88 cents.  Woohoo!  I was excited but then I turned my cart and saw......ooooo I was not happy.

About a month ago I decided I was going to squash my Red Diamond tea addiction and start making my own iced tea.  I could only find one ice tea maker.  I wasn't overly thrilled because it was white with royal blue.  I don't have blue anywhere in my house except the boys' room.  I overcame the decorating faux paux of the white and blue in my wine and black kitchen and bought the iced tea maker for $19.  This would save me a ton of money on my tea.  So when I turned the corner and saw WW had "rolled back" the ice tea maker price $2 PLUS got 3 new colors.....this did not make me happy.  Now I am stuck with the blue one knowing it is available in a color that matches my kitchen.  Not knowing it was available in other colors made the decorating faux paux much easier to accept.  Oh well!

Moving on.....

My Mom calls wanting me to get her some apple juice packet things.  I oblige.  I looked everywhere and couldn't find them.  Did I mention they moved the juice and now have it in two separate areas?  Juice in one area and dry juice mixes in another area.  Must make sense to the new layout idiot but us more intelligent people think this is ignorant at best!  Not only did they not have the juice but they don't carry it anymore.  I will call Mom later on that one since she will not be happy and she totally agrees with my anger towards the new WW layout idiot!  We can have a great gripe about WW session!

Then I decide to go to the restroom.  I don't see why they didn't just put an extra bathroom right smack dab in the middle of the juice aisle.  I mean that should make sense to new WW layout designers....you drink juice then pee?!  I get in the bathroom and no one was there.  I sit down when the bathroom door slams open and I hear the running of little feet.  She starts pulling on my stall door.  I said, "This one is taken".  I can see her little sandals dancing around and this girl needed to pee.  She again tried to open my door.  I nicely said, "This one is taken.  Go to the next one sweetie."  She still pranced and pulled at my door!  In my head I was screaming, "THIS IS TAKEN!  THERE ARE FIVE OTHER EMPTY STALLS WITH OPEN DOORS....PICK ONE ALREADY AND GO PEE! WHERE IN THE WORLD IS YOUR MOTHER ANYWAY?"  I really felt simply by the size of her feet and the fact that she obviously needed help that she should NOT be in a public restroom by herself anyway but again I calmly said, "Honey you really need to choose another stall before you pee your pants."  She did and all was well!

Onto getting our pancake syrup.  We are very picky and brand specific on two condiments:  pancake syrup and soy sauce.  They still carry the syrup we like; however, they no longer carry the big bottle just the small one.  I am sure they make more on the smaller bottles but I don't like the smaller bottles so I guess I will buy that somewhere else.

Onto getting our soy sauce.  They do NOT carry our brand of soy sauce anymore.  Guess I will buy that somewhere else too.

Onto getting our pizza crusts that we love.  Oh wait, did I mention they no longer carry those either!  I am seeing a pattern and betting I find a new grocery store.

By now you can only imagine how frustrated I am when I get done then walk to the checkout before realizing I forgot the Splenda so I could make tea in my blue ice tea maker that I paid $2 more dollars for the color I did not want.  I wasn't really sure where it would be located probably between the tampons and fish food so off to search I went.

Phew!

Finally ready to checkout!

Cashier with hot pink and green eyeshadow scans item after item when the register "rejects" the sale of my 88 cent drink holders that I have been searching for....ugh.  Cashier calls her manager who informs me apparently they were recalled and she can not sell me these items.  I said very annoyed, "Then maybe you should remove them from the shelves."  I wanted to plead for her to sell them to me but figured they were probably recalled for a reason.  She asks me, "Where did you find them?"  While laughing, I said "probably electronics with this new layout!"  It was housewares but I was too annoyed to be obliging.  Go find it yourself by the ice tea maker that I am bitter about and the $15 shaker!  Ugh....I normally am not like this but I was seriously ticked off by this time especially since now I have to go to yet another store in all my free time to get half the list of items I needed that WW no longer carries!

I pay then the cashier says. "mmmm mmmmm mmmmmm night"

Me, "excuse me?"

She again says, "mmmmm mmmmm mmmm night"

I said, "Ok I am sorry I just don't speak mumble!  Thank you!  Have a good night!"

Come on WW:
carry what I want
leave the layout alone (It was fine to begin with!)
hire people over the age of 12 that don't apply makeup like a 5 yr old or street walker and can speak CLEARLY!

I call Hubs to tell him I am on my way home when he unknowingly says, "What took so long?"

Really?

I don't think you want to ask me that question!

LET'S DISCUSS WHAT SUCKS!

So I feel awful and I am going to give my view on what sucks!
Being an allergy sufferer who ran out of her medicine and failed to get more because she thought "oh I'll be ok for a few days"
when a few days turned into two weeks then
BAM
stupid indecisive Oklahoma weather decides to
be hot,
be cold,
be rainy,
be hot,
be cold,
be windy,
be rainy,
throw in 10in of snow,
be hot the next day so the snow all melts,
then decide to rain,
then be chilly
be warm again,
.........play with all of the allergy suffering residents!!
WHY
didn't I go get more allergy medicine?
Since I can't sleep because of my inability to breathe, I decided to look up some things. Although I always knew Oklahoma is not a good state to live in if you are an allergy sufferer, I didn't realize how bad my state and even my CITY were for allergies. At first all I could find was statistics from 1999 saying Tulsa ranked #7 out of the 100 worst cities for spring allergy sufferers. Then I came upon 2002 statistics saying we had improved and were then ranked as #17. Whew, what an improvement! (I hope you feel the sarcasm!) Then I found horrible 2007 statistics and I wanted to pack up my family and move far far away!
In 2007, Tulsa, Oklahoma was the #1 worst city for spring allergy sufferers!
I live there!
Holy cow!
Luckily by 2008, we were way down to #19 out of 100 of the worst cities!
The AAFA (Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America) has yet to release the 2009 statistics for the 100 Worst Cities for Spring Allergy Sufferers; however, they have released the worst 5 and Tulsa is not on that list.
Whew!
Six or below is our goal!!! hahahahahaha ~ sadly that was probably only funny to me!!
Do you know how many cities there are in the US?
Wait for it.......
.....wait for it.....
That's too bad I don't either!
I bet you totally thought I had the answer!
I did try to look that up too but couldn't find it. Granted I didn't look too long since I became frustrated. They all went into how places are classified as cities, towns and counties and how different states use different methods so it is hard to get a count of actual "cities" and blah blah blah.......SEE why I didn't look too long!
The point is why as an allergy sufferer do I even live in a place that makes it onto the 100 Worst Cities for Spring Allergies list in the first place.
Hundreds of thousands of cities in this country and I pick one of the 100 worst for allergies ~ idiot I tell you and not even the bottom hundred at that!
WHY?
All because I wanted my boys to grow up near their Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins!
Or just pure insanity and fear of change!
Take your pick!
Now onto what else sucks since I just happen to be making a list.....
not breathing through your nose, the nose congestion traveling from one nostril to the other taking turns blocking one completely at all times, blowing your nose and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING EVER comes out, ear popping, throat pain but only if and when you swallow, not breathing through your mouth, gland pain, not breathing through your nose, eye pain, watering eyes, sneezing, itchy throat, headache, not breathing through your nose.................
Did I leave anything out?
Oh yes I did.......
gargling salt water *gag*gag* you can't even begin to *gag*gag* imagine how much I hate *gag*gag the taste of salt water so you know I was desperate, no sleep for days, warm cloths over your face while giving yourself a facial rub since according to the stupid liar of a nurse "it will work wonders" ~ LIAR ~, then sleeping for 15-20 minutes at a time, nasal congestion, Neil Med nasal rinse especially if you fail to read the instructions COMPLETELY before use (THIS ONE is a post all on its own!), nose spray that just drips out or runs down the back of your throat, not breathing through your nose, medicine that makes you feel like you wiped the inside of your mouth with a giant freaking cottonball and no amount of liquid seems to make this side effect go away, have I mentioned nose congestion and throat pain yet, drinking excessive amounts of liquids to cure the cotton mouth only to get up to pee every five minutes, putting a blanket on because you are freezing then fall asleep and wake up sweating, not breathing through your nose.....................
I think that might be it.......
NO WAIT you didn't really think I was done did you.......
.......Let's add ~ getting said allergy medication to be taken every 24 hrs then accidentally taking one at 5:30pm then one at 9:30pm on the same evening.
What was I to do after swallowing the second one and realizing my mistake?
It isn't like I could puke up just one of them. If I thought I had dry mouth before, then I was sadly mistaken. You would think I spent days in the freaking Sahara. I thought I was going to rig a line of tubing from the refrigerator water dispenser to my mouth or go get an IV of fluids put in! Then I laid in bed wondering since I was awake from not being able to breathe through my nose and all if I would notice side effects from taking too much medicine or if I would just die in my sleep. Those are always comforting thoughts while you are lying there going insane from not being able to breathe through your nose. Had I mentioned that yet?
Now I am done!
APRIL FOOL'S!
Crazy bloggy friends I'm not done ~ it was all true I'm just not done yet!
You know what is worse when you are feeling down with all of this??
Hmmm.......
....now let's stay on track with giving me all of your pity and not elaborate on how good my life is and I should be glad to even be breathing although not through my nose.......
.....let's pretend I am the center of attention here.......
Now what could you add to all of this to make it worse.......
Diarrhea from antibiotics and pink eye......YEP.......I am lovin' my world right now!
Now you want to know what sucks the most.......
I have pink eye in BOTH EYES on top of all the other crap!!!
Needless to say I have been looking pretty hot around here lately!
Moral to the story ~ If I want to continue to live in Oklahoma and breathe through my nose, then I should not run out of daily allergy medicine and never ever ever skip a day for any reason whatsoever.....EVER!!!
Why when I put spaces in between sections where I WANT THEM does blogger erase the spaces when I publish? It never USED to do this!!

WHAT DIDN'T I DO ~ SHOULD BE THE QUESTION!!

My friend asked tonight, "What did you do this weekend?"

I think the question should have been "What DIDN'T I do this weekend?"

Anyway here was my answer,

"Let's see I vacuumed, dusted, cleaned the bathrooms including toilets and showers (my "boy" tends to leave that out), cleaned the windows, cleaned/revamped the boys' closet, blogged about their amazingly organized closet, cleaned my closet, blogged about Hub's shoes, washed all shower curtains and bathroom rugs, went to see the Harlem Globetrotters with Hubs and my parents, launched my first blog giveaway (launched like it is a new business hehe), put Isaiah in time out, redecorated the boys' bathroom, found new shower curtain I bought months ago for my bathroom so I washed and hung it also, mopped boys bathroom ~ really mopped on hands and knees (If you know how to get rid of the boys urine smell in their bathroom let me know!), cleaned the carpet in our bathroom/our bedroom/Tez's room, took down the Christmas tree, put Isaiah in time out again, put away all Christmas decor, put Isaiah in time out again, cleaned the kitchen, cleaned the refrigerator, two loads of dishes in the dishwasher, washed ALL sheets and comforters then remade the beds, cleaned Lucy's cage, got rid of a ton of crap, washed blankets in linen closet, vacuumed again and put Isaiah in time out yet again, cleaned off computer desk and used the can air to clean the computer (that stuff is so fun!), then of course I had to read some blogs, cleaned the oven (I NEVER do that!), cleaned the microwave, cleaned the washer and dryer (inside and out!), cleaned under all beds (amazing what you can find!), finished the hooks for the boys' towels and hung them up (which also means I had to charge the drill!), scrubbed the dog feeders (dried drool is disgusting!), mopped the floors (quite a feat since our entire house with the exception of the bedrooms is wood floors!! It kills my back), laid out clothes for boys' to wear tomorrow, read 20 books for Elijah's book it program b/c of course I put it off until the VERY last second of his two week break, couple trips to Wally World AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST I literally did (washed/dried/folded/put away) about a KAZILLION loads of laundry in between each and every chore.....wait in between I did manage to feed the kids....I think!!!!" (All of this in 2 days! I told you guys I was seriously sick of my house being a pig sty and I was going to take back control!)

Her reply, "Did you clear ALL the scrapbook stuff off of your kitchen table?"

Well....."NO".....but all I have left is.......clear off the kitchen table, sort through the old "laundry" room area, sort through the pile in the corner of my room (papers to file) then in time I need to repaint the entry way, repaint the hallway, finish painting the baseboards white, paint the main bathroom cabinet white and repaint the bathroom, paint my kitchen cabinets white, put recessed lighting in the kitchen and paint ceiling, change out the fan in the dining room, call the guttering guy, clean out the garage completely, call the pest control guy since he is late and I will flip if I see a giant spider, fix my bedroom fan....I could go on forever. Is it ever truly done? But at least now it is clean so as long as I keep up with the cleaning I can tackle the other "jobs" over time! Wish me luck! Hey and now I won't be embarrassed to have company or drop by visitors!

OUR LEMON IS ALL OUT OF JUICE!

Our lemon is all out of juice and with this little tidbit of information comes good news and bad news! Yesterday Martez's truck aka the "Lemon" was supposed to be finished and ready to go with a new water pump and new thermostat; HOWEVER, I received a call which caused mixed feelings. David, the Lemon's mechanic, called to inform me the lemon needs a new motor. David knows my hatred toward our ugly little money pit and explained the situation in great detail when the only detail I needed was the lemon needs a new motor. Because it is a Range Rover and the difficulty involved, the job would be at least $4000 and this truck isn't worth me even saying $4000 outloud. This is the point when I prayed really hard that my husband would realize it would be incredibly stupid to fix this and would give up the truck once and for all!!! Although this is "good" news in a sense, this leaves us with the dilemna of finding hubby a car so wifey does not have to wake up at 4am and go straight to the looney bin. Believe it or not, we still have idiots people wanting to buy the car simply because it carries the name Lemon, piece of crap, the Range Range Rover! How vane are they? Who cares!! I feel like even getting absolutely nothing and just being rid of the heap is a blessing in disguise. In order for us to get the car out, we would have to pay about $700 plus have it towed then sell it for next to nothing and I don't trust these idiots individuals enough to take the chance that they change their mind and we are out $700 for a dead car! I wish we had a few thousand to go buy a car from an individual since I have found many alas we do not have a few thousand lying around and we will have to start the whole car payment deal all over again. Hopefully we find some cheap, dependable and able to be fixed anywhere we please!! Until then donations and 4am rides will be accepted.....ha!

FRIDAY HIGH FIVE

TOP 5 REASONS NOT TO OWN A RANGE ROVER

No we in fact can not afford a Range Rover but we own one because of a "deal" through my car dealer brother-in-law. It was a SWEET deal we got on our LEMON!! At the time we bought it, we definitely were not looking for a Range Rover but my brother-in-law had a "good" one come in as a trade-in and we could get a "really good deal on it". Blue book at the time was something like $12,000 or 14,000 and we were getting it for $8,000. We went to the bank and got an auto loan at 4% interest, got a really low payment, doubled up on some payments and the piece of crap truck has been paid off for a year! Good deal, right? WRONG COMPLETELY WRONG! We seriously got the raw end of this deal!! As of March 2008, we have officially put way more money into fixing this truck than we originally paid for it and could've bought a brand new car and it would be almost paid off with all the money we have spent. Needless to say I HATE MY HUSBAND'S RANGE ROVER and here ladies and gentlemen are my top five reasons NOT to buy/own/look at/think about/talk about/dream of/even take a second glance at a
LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER:
  1. In Tulsa, there are only two, yes count those little two fingers folks, TWO places that will even work on LAND ROVERS ~ the Land Rover dealership and another shop.
  2. You can not go to Auto Zone, O' Reilley's or ANY parts store to get Land Rover parts even some simple part~ only an authorized mechanic shop or dealer is allowed to buy the parts from Land Rover ~ NO DISCOUNTS HERE FOLKS! You can not just buy the parts and fix it yourself EVER! Trust me, we have tried more than once!
  3. In my opinion, other than the outrageously priced newer versions, they are all just UGLY boxes on wheels!!
  4. It literally cost an arm, a leg and your first born to be able to fix ANYTHING! Even the smallest things cost a small fortune! I just so happen to have an example: The battery went out on my husband's remote which one would think would be simply fixed by buying a new battery and replacing it ~ right? WRONG AGAIN I told you guys the smallest details cost a fortune, now listen up!! The truck got superlocked aka they make it so NO ONE can get in the truck. You think I am kidding I mean NO ONE! And I know you are thinking "ok lazy bums just use the key!" LISTEN PEOPLE I SAID IT WON'T LET ANY ONE INTO THE VEHICLE! We had to have it towed for the thousandth time up to the dealership and they had to break the window to get in to get it un-superlocked. Price of this little adventure with window, new battery, un-superlockation (I know that is not a word!) which also meant new door handle/lock and reprogramming ~ I believe it was around $600 in the end! CRAZY I TELL YOU! That my friends should be against the law or we should be sent to the "looney bin" for falling for the "sweet" deal we were offered. I thought it was odd that the "old" lady who had owned the truck traded it in for a Chevrolet Aveo. That is a huge difference! The truck was in mint condition ~ in fact before we bought it NO one had ever sat in the back seat. She must have known EVERYTHING was falling apart and just wanted to get out before her entire retirement fund went into fixing the junk heap. She was so distraught she bought a tiny little car with parts for like a buck! This lady is a genius and WE are the crazy ones!
  5. Just the name "Range Rover" (he calls it "the range) makes my husband's family and so-called friends think we are loaded and the constant snide comments make me want to slap them as do the constant requests for hand outs never to be repaid loans that will eventually lead me to flip out and start my "get off your lazy butt and get a job" rant!!! WE are the ones who NEED the loans hand outs never to be repaid to pay for the overpriced, steal of a deal, lemon piece of crap wonderful "luxury" vehicle we are cursed with so lucky and proud to own!!!
  6. Wait a minute I have one more.......when the truck breaks down like for instance.....NOW I have to wake up at 4am to drive my husband to work! Not cool! 4am!!! 5am!!!! Hey unless it is Black Friday, Isaiah's surgery day, I am up with a sick kid or I haven't gone to bed yet I DON'T WANT TO BE AWAKE TO SEE 4 OR 5AM!!!!! I wake up at 6am everyday and that is bad enough for me!!! Well I am going to pray and pray and then pray some more that his truck is finished TODAY! Then go pick him up from work with ALL my "spare" time and all.................not the least bit bitter here....nope not me......it is a good thing I love him so much because I could almost flip out right now!

Can you guys tell I have been on the phone with the auto repair shop 3 times this morning before 9am and I received our mind blowing total for our latest repair and I don't want to put more money into the truck 6 days before Christmas for something that should of been fixed right when repaired 15months ago!?!?!?!? Hard to tell I know but believe it ~ it's all true!
