my pick ~ the easy way out~
10 THINGS ON MY MIND THIS WEEK
- Will I ever get the mound of bills scattered in a thousand piles throughout the house filed? I never open mail! I pay all of our bills online and never open them. They just sit in random piles everywhere. I need to sort, file then organize all the medical and daycare bills so I can do our taxes!
- My husband found out last Friday he is diabetic and yesterday we got in to see one of the top diabetes Doctors in the state! Thank you God for an answer to our prayers! Although we have so much more to learn, we understand so much more after seeing the new doctor. Cooking, grocery shopping, counting carbs, adjusting insulin, making sure he is not in a coma.....yep those are all on my mind this week!
- I really need my Dad to get better and pass his two kidney stones so he can get back to work! My desk looks like his aka a disaster and it needs to be cleaned! His desk ~ NO hope! My phone calls have quadrupled and I am too stressed out and tired to deal with it all right now!
- Can Friday ~ my day "off" ~ ever really be just for me? Just once?
- Will I ever get to scrapbook again? Will we ever eat at the kitchen table again thanks to the loads of scrapbooking supplies that took it over? Will I ever get a craft room?
- How long before I am out of a job? Dad retiring? Shutting down? Buyout? When? What will I do? Where will I go? I will never find the flexibility I have now!!
- Did I bite off more than I can chew when creating the school recycling program and volunteering to organize and run the project? Where will I ever find the time? Probably Friday!!
- Why can't public school start at around....oh let's say 10:30 - 11ish?!?!?
- If I let Moose out the side gate, would he run away or stick around? Just kidding ~ well kind of! I know, I know that was awful BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO LIVE WITH HIM!
- How much does a maid cost? I CAN'T KEEP UP!!!
Go on over to Mama's Losin' It and join in Writer's Workshop Wednesday!
You know you want to try it!
You'll get over the worries about diabetes with time and knowledge. As a long term diabetic, I always tell people that if I had to have a chronic disease, diabetes is my choice because I *can* live with it.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the other projects.
(Came over from Mama Kat's Workshop) :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're juggling a lot of things. As Dan said, diabetes is really manageable nowadays... It just takes some adjustment! :)
Wow, I'm with you on so many levels but especially #4 and #5... except my scrapbook stuff hasn't escaped the closet yet. Great post, deep thoughts.
ReplyDeleteAw I hope your dad feels better soon!! I know how tough kidny illness can be...
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your weekend!
wow you have lots going on!
ReplyDeleteOh dont forget if you shop at warehouse market put your reciept in the lynnwood box on your way out the door....you started a recycling project! you go girl!!!!
Hope your dad passes those kidney stones...my mom and step dad are diabetics...so glad you have a great doc!
Hope your dad gets well soon. As far as your bills piling up around the house (I had a little giggle over that, sorry lol) most companies now days let you go paperless. It's a big environmental move...about time if you ask me. But I now get about 3/4 of my bills through my email. They just send me a notice when it's time to pay and I go online and pay them. It's a nice break for my mailbox :)
ReplyDeleteyou need a girls night out. You can come over and scrap with me in my craft room.
ReplyDeleteThat's entirely too much for one person to think about in the course of a week! Yikes!
ReplyDeleteSo just a random fact but I think a maid cost about 60-70 a week! I only know this because Tiffany has one that comes in every other week to do "deep cleaning" She is good, a lot of work for a big house! Love ya! Oh and you should just come to Joplin and scrap with me, I am behind now again!
ReplyDeleteVisiting from MamaKat's Writers Workshop...
ReplyDeleteWow! You got some heavy stuff on your mind!!! I feel shallow by comparison, I must say! Sounds like you need a vacation, a maid, a personal chef, an addition and loads of time to yourself! I wish you all of these things!
